Every now and then a contractor might not carry out their work in accordance with the specification.
We're here to help you make sure that you're not left out of pocket.
On the right side of the law
The Limitation Act 1980 governs the time limits for bringing different claims.
At the end of any operatives’ defects period, we will prepare a schedule of retention to be released to the Client.
If there are no outstanding defects, or issues to be resolved, then the retention would be released accordingly.
On site with you
Our site relationship team will review anything that you feel is a defect, along with whether they are in line with the agreed contract. We'll then issue instructions to the sub-contractor to ensure they are carried out in a reasonable time.
Protecting your projects
Once your operative gets to the end of their defects period, we will create a schedule of retention and send it to you. So long as there are no more outstanding defects or issues, the retention fee will be released.
